Okay, I know he's no Koyasu, but Crispin Freeman has a pretty, pretty
voice.
And that pretty pretty voice came out of a pretty pretty shaman
purring his appreciation for my passion and sharp wit I met when
playing "Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer." This is an
expansion pack for a PC game I have.... in the game, you wake up in a
sort of a mystical fantasy world inspired by Russia (called Rashemen),
where someone has torn out a piece of your soul.... the pretty, pretty
Shaman (named Gannayev-of-Dreams) is one of your potential party
members who can help you deal with the spirits who don't like your
fractured soullishness.
He's a lovely boy with long silvery hair and a silky voice, and he
likes it when you're (playfully) mean to him. He is apparently be
"bane" of Farmers' Daughters everywhere, and even the local witches
can't help but give him a second look.
Of course, as soon as the purely innocent and noble half-celestial who
quests on behalf of the Suffering God showed up, he started flirting
with her instead of me.
It's a good thing Mr. Freeman hasn't been typecast. ~_^
Wait a minute... I'm playing a person with a hole in her chest, who
should be dead but isn't (and previously, in the first installment of
the game, was able to summon a ancient and powerful sword due to the
talisman embedded within my chest... a sword which everyone wanted and
was fighting over).... (okay, and I'm playing a woman with
extraplanar heritage who's literally a "backstabber," but that's my
choice)
I've got the flirtatious pretty boy who is ambiguous about his past
and ambitions, but attracted to power... but *could* be good....
and am now traveling with the sweetly innocent crusader girl from the
"Heavens Above" (literally) torn between the Prince of the Dead and
the Suffering God....
Huh.
My other companion I'm not sure how she fits in though. Woman (bald
and tattooed!) belonging to a group called the "Red Wizards" but she
is not as typically ambitious or cruel as the others (or so she
appears). Had power due to her mother being head of the Wizard
Academy, but she's recently been displaced. I think if I were playing
a male she'd be a love interest. Doesn't quite fit anything.... which
is probably good, or I'd be a little more creeped out. ^^
Anyway, was amused and wanted to share.
